Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and supervision for production employees, ensuring safety, sanitation, quality, and reliability standards are met.
- Motivate, train, and effectively communicate with shift teams to enhance performance.
- Conduct team meetings to communicate expectations and foster a collaborative environment with Engineering and Quality Assurance teams.
- Develop expert knowledge of production processes and equipment to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Perform daily quality checks and reports to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Maintain shift performance records and documentation.
- Lead and participate in SPC (Statistical Process Control) project teams to improve safety, quality, and efficiency while reducing waste.
- Reinforce a sense of urgency during production runs and machine downtime, effectively communicating issues to management.
- Exhibit flexibility to work variable hours, including weekends.
- Follow all employee safety, food safety, quality procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) while wearing required PPE.
- Properly start and end jobs in AX, ensuring accurate data entry.
- Conduct simple maintenance on processing equipment.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of HTST principles.
- Manage job orders and timings to maximize operational efficiency.
- Apply advanced knowledge of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points).
- Troubleshoot HTST, Aseptic, and CIP operations with advanced problem-solving skills.
- Enter raw ingredients accurately into AX and identify inventory discrepancies.
- Order ingredients based on the production schedule and coordinate with Logistics for timely delivery.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and accountability for job responsibilities.
- Work a flexible schedule, including overtime and weekends.
- Perform other assigned duties as required.
Qualifications

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Adept computer skills, including email communication and use of WMS & ERP systems, Excel.
- Strong math skills and good reading comprehension.
- Ability to quickly learn new software and tasks, and train direct reports.
- Ability to investigate root causes, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
- Experience working with diverse teams of individuals with varying levels of education and expertise.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
