Microbiologist
The Microbiologist monitors and documents microbiological health through plating and plate reading. The Microbiologist is responsible for record keeping and escalations that pertain to micro health and factory hygiene.

What you would be doing as a Microbiologist:
Ensure that the company and our customer’s Food Safety and Product Quality standards are recognized, maintained and improved.
- Product testing at all stages of Processing and Packaging
- Plating and reading plates on a daily basis
- Lab equipment operations, maintenance and calibration
- Plant, Processing, Equipment Sanitation Monitoring and Notification
- Sanitation CIP guidance based on analysis results
- Escalation of facility micro health
- Daily upkeep of all micro records
- Perform Hygiena ATP analysis as needed for finished products and concentrate samples
- Review and store all Quality related documentation as needed
- Manage and monitor incubation temperatures and procedures
- Assist with retain sample management
Requirements:
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Previous microbiology experience is a must
- Microsoft Word and Excel experience
- Ability to stand and walk for entirety of shift, lift up to 50 pounds and climb stairs
- Independent and motivated personality to be able to perform tasks with minimal supervision
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology
