PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Senior Rebuild Specialist is responsible for accurately quoting machine rebuilds, ensuring compliance with CAT specifications, and effectively communicating with customers and internal teams. This role requires a deep understanding of heavy equipment components, strong technical skills, and excellent communication abilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Contributes to a positive work environment and promotes the vision, mission, and values of Gregory Poole.
Completes all job responsibilities in a safe manner and promotes and champions a safe and healthy work environment.
Collaborate with PSSR’s and Service Managers to accurately quote machine rebuilds.
Ensure all machine and component updates adhere to the latest CAT specifications (Service Letters and TIBs).
Attend meetings with customers and PSSR’s to inspect machines requiring rebuilds.
Develop detailed inspections and quotes based on customer needs and requirements.
Update Service Managers and PSSR’s on the status of quotes.
Work with the Standard Jobs Coordinator to develop standard jobs as needed.
Travel to branches to monitor machine rebuild progress.
Work with Caterpillar ASR and CAT product groups to utilize all national and OTO programs to their fullest.
Understand and administer Caterpillar marketing programs to maximize customer value and Gregory Poole profitably.
Work with the marketing department to develop and implement a promotional plan for machine and component rebuilds.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Comprehensive background in heavy equipment component function, troubleshooting, and repair.Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment, adapting to changing priorities and demands.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Proficiency in relevant computer software and systems.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Must have the ability to set and keep priorities and professionally handle the stress associated with dealing with a fast-paced industry and deadlines.Must be a Team-player that is enthusiastic and hard working with the ability to complete work with minimal supervision.High degree of interpersonal skills with excellent written and oral communication skills is required.
Education/Background Requirements:
· High School Diploma or equivalent required.· Experience with Microsoft Office Suite· 5 years of comprehensive background in heavy equipment component function, troubleshooting, and repair.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit for long periods of time using a P.C. and/or telephone. Must be able to travel to other company locations or customer locations and at times, may require overnight stays. Must have the physical capabilities to climb stairs and carry large pieces of material handling equipment. Must have the ability to work in environments with exposure to wet/humid conditions, fumes, and occasional exposure to extreme cold or heat.
