As a Senior Human Resources Specialist, you will play a key leadership role in overseeing HR operations, including compliance, benefits management, recruitment, and employee relations. Key Responsibilities: Compliance & Labor Laws:
- Lead efforts to ensure company policies and procedures comply with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Regularly review and update HR policies to reflect changes in employment laws, maintaining compliance across all functions.
- Conduct and manage HR compliance audits, addressing potential risks and ensuring a compliant and ethical work environment.
- Provide strategic guidance on complex employee relations issues, including investigations, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
- Assist with Architectural and Engineering licensing compliance
Employee Benefits:
- Oversee the administration and strategic management of employee benefits programs (health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, paid time off, etc.).
- Ensure efficient communication of benefits options and facilitate open enrollment periods, addressing any employee questions or concerns.
- Monitor industry trends in benefits to recommend improvements or adjustments to current offerings.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure benefits programs are cost-effective and aligned with company goals.
Recruitment & Hiring:
- Assist in the recruitment process, including designing job descriptions, posting openings, and directing the interview and hiring process.
- Work closely with senior management to understand talent needs and ensure recruitment strategies align with organizational objectives.
- Assist in the recruitment lifecycle to ensure compliance with diversity, equity, and inclusion goals, and fair hiring practices.
- Assist in developing and implementing onboarding strategies for new hires to ensure smooth integration and engagement within the company.
Employee Development & HR Strategy:
- Drive employee training and development initiatives to improve workforce skills and enhance performance.
- Provide leadership in performance management, coaching, and career development for employees across all levels.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to implement HR strategies that support overall business goals and foster employee engagement.
- Help create and maintain a positive workplace culture by promoting effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution.
General HR Operations & Leadership:
- Manage and oversee HR records and employee files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legal requirements.
- Lead HR-related projects, from strategic planning to execution, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Mentor and develop junior HR staff, providing guidance on HR best practices and supporting their professional growth.
- Act as a trusted HR advisor to senior leadership, contributing to decision-making processes related to employee relations, organizational development, and HR strategy.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 10 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on compliance, employee benefits, recruitment, and employee relations. Experience in leading HR functions or teams preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant HR certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) are highly preferred.
- Skills:
