Role Description
As the Operations Training Manager at Gregorys Coffee, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing training programs that enhance the operational efficiency and effectiveness of our coffee shops. You will ensure that our staff are well-equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver exceptional guest service, maintain high operational standards, and drive continuous improvement across our operations.
Key Responsibilities
Training Program Development:
- Design and develop comprehensive and motivating training programs for all operational roles, including baristas, shift supervisors, and Store Leaders
- Create engaging training materials, including manuals, e-learning modules, and instructional videos, tailored to various learning styles and needs.
Training Implementation:
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for new hires and existing employees, ensuring they understand and can effectively perform their roles.
- Implement onboarding programs to acclimate new employees to company policies, procedures, and culture.
New Store Opening Training
- Implement training for all new store openings creating an inclusive working environment from day one.
- Manage NSO Trainers on-site at all new locations.
Seasonal Menu Changes and Rollouts
- Work collaboratively with all departments to ensure menu changes are flawlessly implemented
- Conduct training sessions for all seasonal rollouts
- Create microlearning courses blended with physical training resources to enhance the training experience
Assessment and Evaluation:
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
- Continuously update and refine training content based on feedback, industry trends, and operational changes.
Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure that all training programs comply with health, safety, and operational regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices to integrate into training programs.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with store managers, department heads, and HR to identify training needs and align programs with business objectives.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to managers and employees to address performance issues and promote a culture of learning.
Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor operational performance and identify areas for improvement through training initiatives.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and innovations to incorporate into training programs and enhance operational excellence.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years in training and development in the food and beverage industry.
- Strong understanding of instructional design, adult learning principles, and training methodologies.
- Strong understanding of coffee operations and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to design engaging and effective training materials and programs.
- Proficiency in training software and learning management systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze performance data and make data-driven decisions.
