Responsibility
- Perform Changeovers (Color, mold, logo, material, EOAT) efficiently with limited downtime
- Prepare materials for new orders (raw material, boxes, bags, labels, etc.)
- Start Production with appropriate documentation per SOP’s
- Operate and minor troubleshooting on MOTAN material conveying equipment
- Ensure periphery and secondary equipment (temperature control units, external hot runner controllers, grinders, conveyors, automation, etc.) is working properly
- Perform daily maintenance, detailed cleaning/polishing of molds
- Monitor Injection Molding Machines and ensure maximum safety, quality, and efficiency at all times
- Save and store process settings and all changes per SOP’s
- Perform Documented checks on products throughout the shift to ensure quality standards are met including First Piece Inspections on new orders
- Ensure Critical and Key Process Parameters are recorded and documented per SOP’s
- Follow internal processing guidelines and standards
- Maintain cleanliness of production floor and work environment
- Maintain Good Documentation Practices
- Other Duties as assigned
- Check product to ensure quality standards are being met
- Understand molding terminology
- Proficient with hand and power tools
- Understand Motan equipment function and adjust if necessary.
- Understand all periphery/secondary equipment functions and operation.
- Use of the crane system
- Perform setup and conversions of equipment efficiently
- Release Production Order Documents according to SOP
- Use measuring equipment
- Setup/Establishment/Change of IM-settings
- Optimize IM-Settings and processes within process guidelines
- Proactive input in set up / processing for improvement
- Maintain clean appearance of shop and floor
- Work according to safety regulation and guidelines
Job Requirements
- High School education or equivalent.
- Injection Molding experience (> 2 years) or equivalent.
- Computer knowledge Microsoft Office 2003 or above.
- Must be able to stand and walk for up to 12 hours.
- Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Must have appropriate vision to perform detailed quality inspections as outlined in SOPs and TPs.
