Job Description:
- Provide leadership, communication, and coaching to employees; cultivate a motivated employee environment of trust, teamwork, accountability, self-confidence, and business ownership
- Monitor and understand all processes being performed within the accounting department
- Analyze business statistics, trends and drivers
- Review current and future business initiatives for financial impact
- Report financial information and analysis to executive management
- Prepare, supervise and review preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reporting packages in accordance with US-GAAP and HGB (German Commercial Code)
- Coordinate and assist with tax matters, such as assuring accurate and timely completion of all corporate tax returns and other regulatory filings
- Supervise, coordinate and assist with all aspects of the financials, forecasts, budgets as well as strategic financial planning
- Responsible for legal and contractual reviews
- Evaluate and monitor letters of credit in effect for projects
- Support treasury function as banking liaison and relationship manager
- Serve as liaison for the Company’s external auditors and subsidiary company (MCS)
- Proactively identify and implement internal process improvements to optimize efficiencies, improve the quality of analysis and reports
- Ability to analyze large amounts of data
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to direct and supervise
- Advanced knowledge of MS-Office products
- SAP knowledge preferred
- Ability to multi-task and adhere to strict deadlines
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA certification preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting preferably in manufacturing environments
- Extensive technical accounting knowledge which includes a comprehensive understanding of accounting standards (US-GAAP and HGB) as well as US and international tax laws
- SAP experience preferred
