Grey Street Consulting, LLC (Grey Street), a leading small business provider of Acquisition operational support services to Federal civilian and defense agencies, is seeking to hire a General Clerk III to support our clients within the Department of Labor, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management (OASAM).

DOL OASAM is located in NW Washington, DC. In addition, DOL has six regional locations throughout the United States and this position may report in Boston, MA, Philadelphia, PA, Atlanta, GA, Dallas, TX, Chicago, IL and San Francisco, CA. Candidates need to be agreeable to the possibility of the government returning staff on-site full-time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review outgoing correspondence to ensure it is properly formatted and prepared on official letterhead for proper distribution. Reviews shall be completed within 24 hours of assignment.
  • Order and maintain supplies for office personnel, copiers, shredders, facsimile machines and other office equipment.
  • Manage the file room, to include retrieving files upon request.
  • Greet visitors and escort or direct them to the appropriate individual being visited.
  • Manage, reserve, schedule, and setup conference rooms for DOL personnel.
  • Assist DOL personnel in making preparations for meetings (i.e., making copies) and / or in-house training with customers and / or Contract Specialists, as requested.
  • Must perform clerical tasks such as scheduling meetings and travel arrangements, answering telephones, handling mail, operating office equipment and maintaining office supplies.
  • Gathers, compiles, and verifies information and performs data entry.
  • Proficient in multiple competencies relevant to the job and work, with moderate supervision on moderately complex tasks within established procedures associated with specific job functions.
  • Reports to Contractor's Project Manager.
  • Capability of learning additional software that may be required for the position.

Requirements

Job Requirements and Experience

  • Have a high school diploma or its equivalent and a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
  • Technical training and certifications are additional benefits but not required.
  • Possess strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Software.
  • Excellent writing skills and be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

  • Operate a PC and phone in an office environment.
  • Work in a primarily sedentary position.
  • Perform some bending, light lifting, and carrying of equipment may be required.
  • Any additional office equipment that is required by the position.
