System Administrator III

Job Description
We seek a skilled System Administrator to support Windows and Linux OS, operational utilities, and server hardware. Responsibilities include incident resolution via a ticketing system, participating in on-call rotations, and following support and change procedures. The role involves identifying automation opportunities, improving operations and processes, and collaborating across regions.
Basic Qualifications:
• 5 years of Linux Server Administration experience.
• Experience with ticketing systems like HP ITSM or ServiceNow.
• Strong understanding of IT processes and cross-functional IT expertise (OS, SAN, CIFS, NFS, network, and database infrastructure).
• Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, CS, CIS, IS, or equivalent work experience.
• Scripting experience.
• Experience with AWS or Azure Cloud platforms.
• RedHat, Microsoft, or CompTIA certifications are a plus.
Technical Expertise:
• AWS Management: 3-5 years managing Windows/Linux servers, EC2, EBS, network shares, and disaster recovery.
• VMware Management: 3-5 years managing ESX hosts, VMs, LUN volumes, and disaster recovery.
• Windows/Linux Administration: 3-5 years managing systems in a multi-hosted environment, with a focus on scripting and SLA adherence.
• Large Data Center Management: 3-5 years managing physical servers in large and remote data centers, with HPE preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess current systems and recommend migration strategies.
• Execute migration tasks and assist in moving file shares to the cloud.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth migration and minimal business disruption.
• Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers, monitor performance, and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure an efficient IT environment and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Assist with AWS/Azure migrations as directed.
• Participate in maintenance activities.
