Greystones is seeking a UI/UX Designer to support the DoD. In this position, you will be responsible for designing solutions that enhance mission-critical applications and AI/ML capabilities. You will translate user research into actionable requirements and iterate on high-quality prototypes, wireframes, and visual designs to drive product enhancements. In close collaboration with end-users and mission teams, you’ll refine user workflows, develop prototypes, and apply research and analytics to optimize user experience, ensuring that design solutions align with both user needs and product goals.
Remote with occasional travel to contractor site CONUS.

Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise to support iterative agile development methodologies to address evolving requirements and solutions.
- Translate user research insights into actionable UI requirements and workflows.
- Create high-quality designs through hybrid wireframes, visual designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes
- Rapidly iterate on design prototypes and applications that support the design, development, and testing of AI/ML tools and delivery methods.
- Develop quick-to-implement mock-ups.
- Test and validate usability by tracking metrics, assessing potential, and using research and analytics to drive product updates and enhance user experience. Use tools to measure user activity and app capability utilization, producing visual data for behavioral analysis.
- Apply user-centered design principles and techniques with a strong understanding of complex computer systems to develop AI-driven solutions.
- Support end users by identifying mission objectives, target metrics, data standards, and user workflows.
- Collaborate with end users to build and analyze user stories, identifying key user, system, software, and interface requirements for capability design and development.
- Identify mission-critical processes, software, and operational issues that can be optimized with AI.
- Capture and refine user needs through feedback gathered from user interviews, usability tests, surveys, data analysis, and other methods to shape a comprehensive user experience.
- Design and prototype AI and ML solutions that align with user needs, behaviors, and motivations, using empathy-driven insights to inform design decisions and advocate for the user.
- Partner closely with Mission and Capability Delivery teams to define product goals.
- Collaborate with team members on user research, customer testing, and iterative feedback loops.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with 7-10 years of experience, or Masters degree with 5 years of experience.
- Experience with usability testing, including preparing test plans and associated wireframes, facilitating test sessions, analyzing testing data, and reporting and presenting test results.
- Experience creating and documenting information design concepts and solutions by various means, including wireframes, prototypes, and task flow diagrams.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience creating presentations and interacting with end users.
- Experience conducting user interviews and contextual inquiries.
- Experience with user tracking and metrics tooling such as Matomo.
- Experience visualizing user metrics using Qlik and / or Tableau.
- Any usability- or UX-related certification is a plus.
- Active Secret clearance with TS eligibility.
