What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grants Administrator position at GRID Alternatives?
The Opportunity
The Grants Administrator is responsible for the administration and reporting for multi-year government, philanthropic and corporate awards that have a significant on the-ground impact for families and individuals that need it most, all while addressing our planet’s pressing climate crisis. The Grants Administrator will be joining a fast-paced, values-based organization to help secure millions of dollars of revenue from an array of funding sources. The Grants Administrator will work to oversee a large portfolio of grant awards and manage all aspects of the post-award grant process, including managing contract review and negotiations in coordination with GRID staff, budgeting and invoicing, grant progress reporting, and data tracking. This also includes :
- Maintain progress and momentum across various grant projects, within and across different departments of the organization
- Serve as a resource to staff in interpreting notices of funding requests and guidelines during proposal development, and provide support as needed to staff leading funded programs and projects during contractual discussions and negotiations
- Monitor and complete grant agreements and contracts, monthly grant reporting / invoicing and other related paperwork and deliverables connected with funded programs and projects
- Manage all grant and contract data to ensure all contacts, funding records, prospective opportunities, paperwork and deliverables are entered into and maintained in GRID’s Salesforce CRM database

This position may rarely require up to 25% out-of-town travel to regional offices and special projects such as company-wide celebrations, team building exercises, etc. Availability to work nights and weekends may very rarely be required.
GRID Alternatives may provide vehicles for work travel and / or travel reimbursement for personal vehicle use. In this instance, applicants must hold a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Hourly pay commensurate with experience within the pay band ($20-$37 per hour) , plus the benefits below.
