What are the responsibilities and job description for the Solutions Architect position at Grid Dynamics?
We are looking for a Solution Architect and technical leader responsible for designing, architecting, and implementing cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure services, by translating business requirements into Azure-based designs, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-efficiency while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver optimal cloud solutions across various Azure services; essentially acting as a key advisor on cloud strategy and implementation within an organization, leveraging their deep understanding of the Azure platform.
Responsibilities
- Solution Design: Analyze business needs and design comprehensive Azure solutions using appropriate services like compute, storage, networking, databases, and AI/ML, aligning with the Azure Well-Architected Framework.
- Cloud Migration Strategy: Assess existing infrastructure and develop migration plans to move workloads to Azure, optimizing for cost and performance.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance to development teams during implementation, ensuring best practices are followed.
- Cost Optimization: Analyze cloud usage and identify opportunities to optimize costs by utilizing appropriate pricing models and resource management strategies.
- Security Architecture: Design and implement robust security measures to protect data and applications within the Azure environment, adhering to compliance requirements.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, communicate technical concepts, and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proof of Concepts (POCs): Develop and present proof-of-concept solutions to demonstrate the feasibility of Azure services for specific business use cases.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest Azure features and functionalities, identifying opportunities to enhance existing solutions and improve performance.
Location Preference: Boston, MA, Dallas, TX or Tampa, FL
Qualifications
- Deep Expertise in Azure: Thorough understanding of core Azure services like Azure Compute, Storage, Networking, Databases, Active Directory, and Azure DevOps.
- Cloud Architecture Principles: Knowledge of cloud design patterns, scalability, high availability, disaster recovery, and resiliency.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell), infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, and cloud-based development methodologies.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
