The Grieve Corporation is a leading manufacturer of industrial ovens and furnaces. We are seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join our dynamic team in Round Lake, IL. As a Press Brake Operator, you will play a crucial role in our production process, ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and shape metal components according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the correct specifications for each job.
- Perform various operations on laser punch press, brake press, notcher, sheer, band saw or angle sheer as instructed.
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet design requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and resolve any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
- Conduct routine maintenance on press brake machines to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably 2-3 years' as a Press Brake Operator.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Must be able to read and write in English.
Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs.
Must hafe dexterity to bend and twist to process parts as large as 36"x48"
Must have hand dexterity to grip sheet metals safely while forming it
Must be able to stand up to four hours at a time
Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
