Pixelogic Media provides technology solutions to the entertainment industry. We are responsible for helping Hollywood Studios and content owners to get their content to global audiences by providing all language services including scripting, subtitling, access services, and dubbing. Our products and services span the digital spectrum, from enhanced extras packages promoting digital purchase to physical disc authoring.

Our clients include major Hollywood studios and dozens of independent studios. To date, we’ve delivered thousands of titles to iTunes, Google, Netflix, Amazon, and others. We’ve created a large percentage of iTunes Extras titles available on the App Store, developed the specification of and delivered the first Cross-Platform Extras titles, authored more than eight-thousand DVDs, two-thousand Blu-rays, as well as award-winning tablet and mobile apps.

Job Description

7 Day Fortnight (Weekday 8AM-8PM, Weekend 8AM-6PM)

To support our Digital Cinema and other departments, the Content Services & Mastering Operator will be working on localising feature films and trailers for major Hollywood studios. This includes but is not limited to :

  • Feature and Trailer mastering and versioning
  • Media files and downstream deliverables creation
  • Quality control, metadata checks, and file validation
  • Creating censor cuts with audio mutes and edits
  • Colour space and frame rate conversion
  • Basic troubleshooting
  • UAT of proprietary and 3rd party software tools and applications
  • Liaising on priorities with account management and providing feedback as required
  • Handling all associated data entry related to work orders
  • Adhering to strict security policies

The person we are looking for

The perfect candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience in digital cinema, home entertainment mastering, post-production, or QC. They should be able to edit audio, spot, and identify issues with content. They should have a good understanding of file formats and codecs, aspect ratios, colour spaces, frame rates, and digital cinema standards. We are interested in someone who has great work ethics and is willing to learn and progress within the company. This position requires some experience; however, training will be provided.

Desirable skills and knowledge

  • Proficient in using Avid ProTools, Colorfront’s Transkoder, DVS Clipster, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Avid Media Encoder, Vantage
  • Experience in DCP mastering
  • Experience in audio editing and creation of compliance cuts
  • SDR and HDR workflows
  • Solid knowledge of digital file formats and codecs
  • Using Terminal / Command line / Wailua
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
  • Fluent in another language is a bonus
  • Passionate about quality, customer experience, and customer service excellence
  • Problem solver with a creative and innovative approach with the ability to think out of the box
  • Ability to prioritize, manage orders, and work well close to deadlines whilst producing high-quality work

  • Minimum one (1) to two (2) years of experience in Post Production environment and Digital Cinema Mastering is essential.
  • Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College / University or equivalent professional experience.
