Job Summary
The Intake Coordinator plays a crucial role for our personal injury and workers' compensation law firm to handle calls, texts, and emails from potential clients. Experience working as an intake specialist for an injury law firm is preferred, but not required. The intake coordinator gathers the important facts about the injury claim so that the attorneys can decide if we can accept the new client. The Intake Coordinator does not give out legal advice, but should be energetic and positive since this is a sales position for the law firm.
Duties
- Conduct initial initial personal injury and workers' compensation claims consultation to gather the important facts about the accident, the injuries, and the treatment for the intake caller.
- Review the injury claim to determine if the facts support that the other party was negligent which would establish liability to pursue the injury claim.
- Review and verify insurance coverage for the auto accidents.
- Review and verify the employment status and the facts surrounding the work accident to determine if there is a viable workers' compensation claim.
- Gather the contact information for all medical providers that have treated the injuries.
- Determine what future treatment the intake may need.
- Input the intake information into Neos which is our intake and case management software.
- Summarize the injury claim and transfer to an injury attorney to answer any legal questions the intake may have.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing the potential injury client's inquiries and concerns.
- Provide excellent communication with the potential client via phone calls, texting, and emails.
- The software we use includes: Neos, Word, Outlook, and Slack
Experience
- Previous experience working for a law firm is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with Neos software or other case management systems for injury law firms is a plus.
- Strong understanding of the types of auto insurance (liability coverage, uninsured motorist coverage, under-insured motorist coverage, and med pay coverage) is preferred but not required.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with intake callers, clients, insurance companies, medical providers, and our firm's staff is required.
- Proficiency in typing and documentation review is required.
- Strong computer skills is required.
- Experience working with law firms who handle personal injury and workers' compensation is helpful.
