IT Helpdesk Specialist
Exempt/Non-exempt: Full-time, Non-Exempt (overtime eligible)
Reports to: Information Technology Director
Salary Range: $52,000 to $57,000 (incentive pay offerings above and beyond base salary)
Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated IT Helpdesk Specialist who will be responsible for end user support of corporate IT systems. To be successful in this position you will demonstrate an understanding of the organization’s IT landscape and capabilities, and how user’s maximize their experience in said environment.

Responsibilities and Duties:
The IT Helpdesk Specialist duties include but are not limited to:
- Create, provision and change Microsoft 365 accounts in accordance with business needs.
- Respond to user requests through IT request portal and implement requested changes to users, groups, and shared mailboxes.
- Staging of new computer equipment.
- Develop and encourage strong collaborative working relationships with employees and GI stakeholders to ensure timely customer support.
- Leverage technology to improve employees’ efficiency and productivity.
- Continuously improve user satisfaction of IT services provided to GI.
- Develop user guides for the organization.
- Work with the program divisions to manage projects, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and success across all projects.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field and 1 year of applicable work experience or associate’s degree and 3 years of relevant work history.
Experience
- Experience with an information services department in an organization that has a significantly decentralized operation is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within high performance teams.
- Familiarity with NGFW, Wireless Networking, and DHCP.
- Understanding of cloud computing as Software as a Service (SaaS) principle.
- Documented experience of Microsoft 365 administration, SharePoint, and other cloud-based software etc.
- Evidence of technical currency in areas such as database technology, distributed client/server applications, user services, and PC LANs.
- Ability to obtain CompTIA Security certification.
Physical Requirements:
- Onsite work required.
- Lengthy periods of sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift to 25 pounds at a time.
- Infrequent travel to additional locations for training, conferences, and stakeholder meetings.
