Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Administrative Assistant/ Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial records of our organization, managing calendars, answering phones, ensuring accuracy, and meeting deadlines. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has experience with administrative, bookkeeping, accounting, and financial concepts.
Duties
- Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Process payroll, record daily checks and deposits.
- Utilize QuickBooks to manage accounts, track expenses, and perform financial analysis.
- Conduct 10 key typing and accurately and efficiently record financial information.
- Reconcile accounts, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Apply a strong understanding of financial concepts to make informed decisions.
- Provide financial support to other departments as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Manage Calendars
- Event Planner with occasional required evening & weekend hours
- Property Management
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A high school diploma is required.
- A degree in accounting or a finance related field is preferred but not required.
- 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a corporate setting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is required, with experience in processing payroll and payroll reports in QuickBooks, account reconciliations, accounts receivable and accounts payable management.
- A self-starter with a positive work attitude.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts, including journal entries and account reconciliation.
- Excellent 10 key typing skills. Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written, communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a professional manner.
- Works well with short deadlines, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Be able to pass background check and drug screening.
