JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS in Accounting/Finance, Business or Economics
- 5 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and accounting required
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and GAAP required
- Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
- Previous ERP software experience preferred
- Experience with SQL based databases including data mining and report generation using Tableau or equivalent BI tool- Preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate meaningful insights and recommendations derived from data and analysis to senior management.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-state, multi-entity environment
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean DMV driving record
- Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen and background check
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Create, develop and maintain performance reporting (KPI’s) in support of continuously improving Grimmway agriculture operations. Examples of reporting include productivity, spending, efficiency, safety, labor, etc.
- Lead and manage the farm budgeting, forecasting and financial modeling processes
- Analyze variances between actual and forecasted results, providing insights and recommendations.
- Review / Analyze farming overhead accounts.
- Support business units with financial insights for decision making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and utilize systems and data to improve financial performance and efficiency
- Drive agriculture operations towards consistency in financial practices and reporting. Lead change management activities.
- Manage the agriculture capital process, including annual planning; preparing, reviewing and approving capital investment requests, and performing post audits on capital projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Continuous use of both hands; including grasping, pulling and pushing. Sight, hearing, lifting, standing, climbing stairways, walking and balancing both feet on even and uneven surfaces, bending, twisting, crawling, stooping, kneeling, reaching forward, reaching overhead, reaching below shoulder, wrist turning, neck turning.
