Field Advantage Facilities Maintenance

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance and repair tasks across corporate headquarters, warehouse facilities, and other company properties within the Kingsport, TN community. This role involves conducting routine inspections, performing preventative maintenance, and addressing a variety of maintenance issues to ensure the safety and functionality of all facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance tasks, including minor electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and building repairs.
• Conduct routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems to identify and resolve issues.
• Execute preventative maintenance programs to maintain optimal facility conditions.
• Coordinate and communicate with management to prioritize and complete maintenance tasks efficiently.
• Assist in managing external contractors and service providers for specialized repairs.
• Maintain an inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment necessary for repairs.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable safety and health regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support facility operations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Previous experience in maintenance or a similar role.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.

Working Conditions:

• Work may be performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• May involve exposure to dust, noise, and hazardous materials, requiring adherence to safety protocols.
• Position may require occasional evening or weekend work depending on maintenance needs.
•  Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work at heights as required.
