By 2013 the company headquarters was moved from Northern Minnesota to Norfolk, Virginia and to its final location in Kingsport, TN.

Field Advantage is a 24-hour on-site technology service that specializes in the retail, entertainment, petroleum, and the electric vehicle industries.
The Electronics Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, assembling, and maintaining electronic components and systems while also performing key warehouse duties. This role ensures equipment functionality and inventory accuracy to support operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Electronics Technician Duties:
• Diagnose, repair, install, assemble, and maintain electronic components and systems.
• Interpret technical blueprints and schematics for troubleshooting and repair.
• Identify replacement needs and logical repair methods; take corrective action.
• Manage and install cables and wiring, including splicing when necessary.
• Identify and report hazardous electrical equipment and take corrective steps.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns, troubleshoot issues, and restore functionality.
• Use schematics, test equipment, and tools for calibration and diagnosis.
• Disassemble, adjust, and repair equipment per manufacturer specifications.
• Troubleshoot electronic devices down to the board level.
• Perform testing on repaired equipment to verify proper operation.
• Escalate major service concerns to the appropriate department.
Warehouse Duties:
• Conduct routine inventory checks and support inventory management.
• Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Disassemble, clean, and rebuild equipment as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor warehouse equipment or product issues.
• Provide backup support for Service Technicians as needed.
Qualifications:
• Experience in electronics troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance. Technical School certificate is a plus.
• Ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
• Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
• Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as required.
• Safety Mindset with knowledge of safety protocols.
