Vision Systems Engineer
The Vision System Engineer will participate in and lead the design, development, and maintenance of custom engineered vision systems for automated filling and closing machines. Qualified candidates exhibit a habit of learning through a detail oriented and consistent approach to customer projects.
Key responsibilities include:
· Develop and implement vision systems for a multitude of object-based analysis, including object detection, defect detection, color recognition, and image analysis.
· Conduct installation qualification (IQ) and operational qualification (OQ) testing for vision systems to validate installed systems.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and quote the integration of vision systems into existing machines, considering hardware and software limitations.
· Contribute to the development of system documentation including system architecture drawings and user manuals.
· Commission, maintain, and troubleshoot existing and new vision systems remotely and at customer sites.
· Maintains records on work accomplished, including time, materials, and equipment used; maintains parts and equipment inventories.
· Provide training to end users/customers team on site for daily operation and maintenance of vision system.
· Interprets and understands electrical schematics and specifications related to hardware installation and maintenance.
Requirements:
· Bachelor of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
· 5 or more years’ experience in vision system development.
· Familiar with vendor vision systems, including but not limited to Omron, Cognex, and Keyence.
· Knowledge of PLC or HMI programming a plus
· Availability for travel (30%) domestic and international to customer sites
· Ability to creatively and independently troubleshoot and solve technical problems
· Knowledge of German language and standards a plus
· Strong decision-making skills
· Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems.
· Basic electrical technical skills
· Willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs

Pay: $95,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
