We are seeking a customer-focused and results-driven Showroom Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for home decor, a strong retail sales background, and excellent customer service skills. You will be responsible for assisting customers in-store, driving sales, and providing expert advice on our decorative lighting and hardware products.
This position is paid an hourly rate plus commission.
Schedule will vary Monday through Saturday.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist walk-in customers in selecting lighting and hardware solutions that meet their design and functionality needs.
- Provide product demonstrations and recommendations based on customer preferences and design trends.
- Develop and maintain relationships with homeowners, interior designers, builders and contractors to drive repeat business.
- Educate customers on product features, benefits, and installation techniques.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and performance metrics.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
- Handle customer inquiries, follow-ups, and resolve any issues professionally.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain store displays, ensuring an organized and visually appealing retail environment.
- Maintain superior product knowledge through self-study, online courses and vendor training, keep current with industry trends.
- Participate in relevant training to keep current with opportunities to grow and excel within the role..
- Work respectfully with the Gross Electric team in a positive environment.
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma /GED with a minimum of four (4) years professional sales experience.
- Proven retail sales experience in decorative lighting, hardware, or home improvement products.

- Ability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays.
- Self-motivated with results-driven mindset.
- Unit of measurement knowledge and ability to convert watts to lumens.
