As the Office Manager, you will work closely with the camp directors and other camp leadership to ensure a successful summer camp experience for all participants and staff. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the camp by providing administrative support to staff members, manage camper registrations, and maintain communication with camp families.

Salary: $22 -$23 per hour
The salary offered will ultimately be determined by the scope of the position, the candidate’s relevant experience, and internal equity.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: This is a full-time, position with a flexible schedule (Monday to Friday, 8:30/9:00 AM–4:30/5:00 PM). You will also be required to work Sundays between 1:00 PM–5:00 PM during camper check-in (June 22–August 17).
Important! Grotonwood's summer camp operates from June 22 thru August 22nd. You will be required to work during each Sunday from 1-5pm to support the Check-In process.
TRAVEL: This is an in-person commute position.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This role uses standard office equipment in a traditional camp office setting.
REPORTS TO: Resident Camp Director, Executive Director.

For over 60 years, we've provided enriching summer camps for children, adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and families. POSITION RESPONSIBILITY
- Manage general office duties: photocopying, filing, scanning, and maintaining office records (both physical and electronic).
- Oversee office supplies inventory.
- Provide exceptional support to caregivers through the camper registration process, including handling sensitive information with discretion.
- Review camper files to ensure compliance with Board of Health and other regulatory requirements before camp begins.
- Support the camp leadership team by managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating staff and external communications.
- Handle phone calls, take messages, and provide information to callers in a professional and friendly manner.
- Assist with invoicing and payment processing.
- Provide administrative support during camper check-ins - Sundays from June 22–August 17.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in an administrative or similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on clarity and professionalism.
- High attention to detail, particularly when managing confidential or sensitive information.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
- Experience working with diverse populations and an understanding of cultural, racial, and social differences.
- Fluency in a language other than English is a plus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift stationary, janitorial products and supplies, up to 50 pounds.
