We are looking for fun, creative, and engaging individuals to join our camp family for the Summer of 2025! Under the supervision of the Camp Director, the Camp Office Administrator is responsible for all administrative tasks related to the operation of Camp Foskett.
Qualifications:
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred and at least 18 years old.
- Have at least one year of administrative or office experience.
- Previous childcare in an outdoor camp setting preferred for youth ages 5-14 years of age.
- Holds active CPR/AED/First Aid certification or able to receive certification within 30 days of hire.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
- Organized and able to work in a fast pace environment.
- Confident in navigating computer programs including Word/Office products and phone systems.
This position requires potential working outdoors in various weather conditions including heat, rain, wind ect.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for completing various administrative tasks including but not limited to billing, collections & attendance rosters.
- Make sure all camp attendance rosters for campers are collected every day and that all paperwork is organized and filed correctly.
- Maintain records of any bills and payments and speak with the finance department when needed for processing bill payments.
- Answer any incoming phone calls from parents and/or guardians of campers or outside agencies and make outgoing phone calls when necessary.
- Communicate in a tactful and friendly manner with parents and/or guardians of campers about camp notifications and policies.
- Assist the Camp Director with any other administrative tasks as necessary.
- Assists in executing emergency procedures when needed.
- Attend staff meetings and trainings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Summer Seasonal-June 23rd - August 22nd 2025
Shifts: Mondays - Fridays between 7:45am-4:15pm; occasional evenings (after 4:15 pm) for staff meetings & weekends as necessary for special events
**Pre-Camp training is required- all staff training on Saturday, June 7th, 2025. Other training dates TBD.
Pay: $16.00 per hour. Plus, access to YMCA facilities for all employees, Employee Assistance Program, and Sick Leave.
