Ground Effects a leading automotive up-fit supplier, is looking for a motivated individual to join our HR Team in San Antonio, Texas ! Hours Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm or 8:00am -5:00pm, with the ability to be flexible in order to meet coverage of the production team.
The HR Coordinator will perform duties at the professional level in all of the following functional areas: payroll, benefits administration and management, on-boarding, recruitment, and employee relations. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of multi-tasking and relating to individuals at all levels within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain all employee and applicant documentation and employee records.
- Ensure compliance with I-9 employment eligibility verification and periodically audits Forms I-9.
- Maintain employee personnel files and proper record keeping.
- Assist with policy development and documentation.
- Maintain current health benefits program. Monitor employee eligibility for benefits plans. Review benefits with employees and processes and assist with enrollments. Organize and assist with annual open enrollment communications and election process.
- Report, maintain, and monitor time and attendance for employees. Monitor, adjust and submit weekly payroll for all employees. Process payroll reports for agencies.
- Participate in the recruiting process, confirm recruiting strategy with HR team, interview candidates, coordinate offer approval, coach managers on recruiting process and vendor management to facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.
- Participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations as required.
- Organize employee onboarding and, coordinate training and development initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent; Preferred-HR Certification or bachelor’s degree.
- 2 or more years HR experience.
- Experience with HRIS, preferred.
- Experience in Automotive manufacturing experience or related field, a plus.
- Basic knowledge of all HR disciplines including performance management, recruitment, employee relations, learning and development, talent management, compensation, Health and Safety, etc.
- Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
- Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and e-mail.
- Strong administrative skills and high attention to detail. Strong presentation and interpersonal skills. Excellent time and project management skills.
- Willing to travel as needed and other duties may be assigned.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred!
