What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista ~ Busy Espresso Stand Snohomish position at Grounds Coffee Co.?
Grounds Coffee Co. is a busy family friendly drive-thru espresso stand looking for creative, friendly, energetic, & reliable Baristas who enjoy providing fantastic customer service and making fantastic coffee! We are currently looking to add team members to multiple locations.
Current positions are part time and full time, including weekends and weekday closing shifts 15-20 hrs to start with the possibility of adding more hours.
*** Must be available and willing to work closing shifts (12pm-7pm) and *** MUST be available to work weekend shifts as scheduled. We *do not* guarantee weekends off.
*Must be 18 years or older please and must have graduated from High School.
*Must have previous barista experience. Drive-thru coffee stand experience is a plus.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Preparing the stand for opening or closing (cleaning, stocking, organizing, inventory ~ if you don't like to clean and organize, this won't be a good fit)
- Greeting customers happily as they arrive and remembering their orders at our drive-thru and walk-up window
- Taking and preparing beverage orders to established recipes ensuring each beverage is perfect
- Providing customers with price information and taking payment
- Ensuring cleanliness of themselves and all work areas at all times
- Making sure that coffee brewing equipment is cleaned, sanitized and maintained on a constant basis
- Ensuring all food and beverage products are stored in a safe manner
Required skills and experience:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Awesome customer service is a must!!
- Customer focused - customer service is key!
- Experience working as a Barista in either a coffee shop or stand (6 months of experience is preferred)
- Familiarity with espresso and beverage products -- knowledge of all common drink recipes
- Excellent knowledge and experience of food and beverage safety rules and practices
- Organized, punctual and innovative ~ Must be reliable, on time and not prone to calling out
- Good cash register and cash management skills
- Valid Washington State Food Handler's Permit
