We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial reporting. As a CPA, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing tax returns, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. This is a key role within our finance department, and we are looking for someone with exceptional analytical skills, integrity, and a commitment to accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Tax Preparation and Planning: Oversee and prepare corporate, individual, and business tax returns, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations. Provide tax planning and advice to minimize tax liabilities.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Prepare and present reports to senior management, offering insights into business performance and strategic planning.
- Month-End and Year-End Close: Oversee the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring that all financial information is accurately recorded and reported.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
