Groundwork Investigations is a growing private investigation agency that provides nationwide desktop investigations – such as high-level background checks, social media investigations, skip tracing, preparatory / comprehensive case research, corporate investigations, medical canvasses, and asset checks – to our clientele. We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our team and help alleviate our workload as we continue to expand!
The research investigator performs various investigative methods to compile information specific to the needs of the client.
Responsibilities
Conduct deep-dive background investigations, expansive online research, detailed social media explorations, and analyze investigative database searches on case assignments. Research typically includes highly comprehensive investigations that require extensive reporting, outstanding organizational skills, and meticulous attention to detail. Familiarity with record repositories, court structures, online investigations, and report writing is a plus!
Requirements
- Must pass a background check
- Must have a Private Investigator’s license or willingness to obtain a PI license
- Commitment to put in extra time for in-depth investigations as needed

Working Schedule
This is a full-time position requiring approximately 40 hours per week. The regular weekly schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Following the investigator's completion of 90 days of employment, investigators may select a flexible work schedule conducive to their lifestyle. Upon the investigator's fulfillment of one year of employment, the opportunity to work remotely is provided and dependent upon management approval.
Salary
The salary for this position is contingent on relevant job experience and/or educational background.
