The Director of Accounting reports directly to the Corporate Controller.
Job Responsibilities:
- Financial Close & Reporting: Contribute to the monthly financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of account reconciliations, profit and loss (P&L) reviews, statement of cash flow creation, variance analysis, and communication with the FP&A team.
- Cash & FX Management: Improve cash flow management, intercompany process management, and foreign exchange exposure, implementing best practices for risk mitigation.
- Technical Accounting & Compliance: Serve as the subject matter expert on U.S. GAAP, ensuring adherence to technical accounting standards and best practices.
- Audit & Regulatory Compliance: Manage relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, and other regulatory entities, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Internal Controls and Risk Management: Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure accurate financial reporting, and comply with regulatory requirements. Develop and enforce policies and procedures to mitigate risks and improve operational efficiency.
- System Optimization: Continuously evaluate and enhance our ERP and other accounting systems to drive operational efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- 8 years of progressive leadership experience, including 3 years of public company or audit experience (Big 4 audit experience highly preferred)
- Superior knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), information technology general controls (ITGCs), automated control environments, cybersecurity best practices, and technology risk
- Critical thinker who is willing to go above and beyond to provide business insights

- Keen ability to handle ambiguity and add the right amount structure where necessary

- Strong technology and organization skills, including experience with ERP/CRM systems and Microsoft Office with high proficiency in Excel
