Dekko is seeking a Strategic Account Manager for our Assemblies business unit. This role requires a hunter mentality to drive new business development, strong account management skills, and technical and engineering expertise to provide customized solutions for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of electrical assemblies, manufacturing processes, and supply chain dynamics.

What you'll do:
Account Management & Customer Retention
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
- Act as the primary point of contact for your assigned accounts, addressing needs and proactively managing relationships.
- Manage and grow the existing customer base, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling Dekko’s assembly solutions.
- Work closely with customers to understand their evolving needs, providing tailored recommendations and ensuring our solutions meet their objectives.
- Lead contract renewals, pricing discussions, and proposal development to align with customer expectations and Dekko’s capabilities.
Business Development & Sales Growth
- Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities to expand market share.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive revenue and customer retention.
- Proactively seek out new industries and applications for Dekko’s assembly solutions.
Technical & Engineering Collaboration
- Leverage engineering expertise to develop and present technical solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and product development teams to align solutions with client expectations.
- Provide input on product enhancements, design considerations, and process improvements.
Market & Industry Expertise
- Stay up-to-date on market trends, competitor activities, and industry innovations.
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and networking events to represent Dekko and uncover opportunities.
What you'll need:
- 5 years of sales experience in technical sales, manufacturing, or electrical assemblies.
- Strong hunter mentality – driven to seek out and close new business.
- Solid technical background in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering (preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and provide technical sales support.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed (up to 50%).
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- Equivalent experience in technical sales, electrical assemblies, or manufacturing will be considered in place of a degree.
