We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in the Banking and Financial domain. The ideal candidate should have recent project experience involving banks and possess a deep understanding of front-office operations. This role requires direct engagement with traders to gather and relay critical business requirements to software developers.
The candidate must exhibit excellent communication skills and the energy to match the fast-paced trading environment.
Key Responsibilities:Act as a liaison between traders (Front Office) and Software Developers.
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from front-office teams.
Ensure accurate translation of business needs into technical specifications.
Facilitate communication and collaboration between business and IT teams.
Conduct gap analysis and recommend system improvements or enhancements.
Provide insights into trading workflows, risk management, and settlement processes.
Utilize SQL for data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
Develop and maintain scripts to support automation and efficiency.
Leverage Excel for data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
Assist in planning and implementing banking/financial projects.
Participate in system testing, validation, and user training.
Troubleshoot and resolve business process and system-related issues.
Provide second-line support for complex technical problems.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
6 to 7 years of experience working as a Business Analyst in Banking and Financial domains.
Prior experience interacting with Front Office teams (Traders) is a plus.
Strong domain expertise in banking, trading, and financial markets.
Proficiency in SQL, scripting languages, and Excel.
Familiarity with trading workflows, risk management, and settlements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Experience with business process documentation and gap analysis.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with traders.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Murex experience is a plus but not mandatory.
Experience with trading platforms and front-office operations.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in Capital Markets.
Professional certifications in Finance, Risk Management, or Business Analysis (e.g., CFA, FRM, CBAP) are a plus.
