With over two decades of experience in the maintenance and construction industries, we are seeking to welcome an HVAC/R manager with a contractor’s license to join our dynamic team.
Scope of Work:
The successful candidate must be willing to utilize their HVAC Contractors license to pull permits, train, develop and certify work hours for junior HVAC technicians when necessary. The candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVACR systems in a commercial facility setting in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee HVAC operations
- Train and develop a team of HVAC/R technicians
- Approve or acknowledge workable hours of all HVAC Technicians on site
- Install, maintain, and repair HVACR systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVACR systems and perform necessary repairs or replacements of parts
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and inspections of HVACR systems to ensure they operate at peak efficiency
- Test HVACR systems for proper functioning and perform necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance
- Respond to calls promptly and professionally, addressing client concerns and resolving issues in a timely manner
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines in all HVACR work, including handling refrigerants and other hazardous materials
- Document all work performed, including parts used, repairs completed, and maintenance tasks, ensuring accurate record-keeping
- Provide recommendations to clients regarding HVACR system upgrades, replacements, or enhancements to improve efficiency and performance
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget
Requirements
- Certification or licensure as an HVACR Technician in Massachusetts, with a strong understanding of HVACR principles, practices, and regulations
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in HVACR systems
- 3 - 5 years supervisory or managerial experience in the related field
- Proficiency in troubleshooting HVACR systems and using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Must have a valid US driver's License with at least 3 years of experience- approvals and final decision is subjected to our automobile insurance carrier's criteria
- Additional certifications in specific HVACR systems or technologies (e.g., NATE certification)
- Experience working in commercial and/or industrial HVACR settings
- Knowledge of environmental regulations related to HVACR systems and refrigerants. (R-22, R-410A, R-134A)
- Universal refrigerant certification
Compensation: $150k (Based on experience), medical, vision, dental, life insurance, 401k.
