Position: Operations Research Analyst (Entry to Mid-Level)
Location: Vienna, VA
Overview: Group W is seeking an entry to mid-level Operations Research Analyst to support a government client. The candidate will utilize communication skills to support clients through the planning, execution, and documentation of analytical studies. Studies employ methods ranging from operations research, statistics, data science, modeling and simulation.
Requirements:
- 0 - 5 years' experience or the ability to learn, understand and apply research development and design principles methods and practices
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited university in operations research, computer science, physics, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or other related disciplines
- Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance
- U.S. Citizenship
Preferred:
- Proven experience using research concepts, practices, and procedures in operational environments and programming
- Ability to develop and brief analysis results to internal and external leadership
- Ability to manage a wide variety of complicated tasks concurrently
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform entry to mid-level research, analysis, design, documentation, and integration related to military systems capabilities and operational objectives
- Assist in defining research scope and objectives to optimize decision making and policy formulation
- Use modeling and research methods to facilitate the development of innovative and cost-effective strategies, products, and software technologies
- Collect and analyze data to develop decision support for complex information services or products
- Perform risk assessments and recommend process improvement techniques related to research objectives
- Participate in presentations, training, and briefings as requested
- Complete documentation related to research tasks and scope
Salary: $85,000 - $125,000 (provided as a general guideline only. Compensation dependent upon relevant work experience related to the scope of the position, education, training, and market considerations).
