Procurement specialist

Location : Hopewell, NJ (Onsite)

Job Type : Contract / 40 hrs week

• Support Site & CAPEX Projects : Collaborate with the Plant Manager, Project Leads, and various departments to support the successful startup and growth of the Hopewell site.
• Procure to Pay (P2P) : Manage both direct and indirect purchasing, ensuring compliance with global procurement processes and local requirements using SAP and Ariba.
• Supplier Relationship Management : Build strong relationships with key suppliers, monitor supplier performance, and negotiate contracts to secure competitive terms.
• Cost Optimization : Track and report savings, improve payment cycles, reduce lead times, and enhance after-sale services.
• Change Management : Support CAPEX project changes and ensure smooth execution of procurement activities.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with global teams, engineers, finance, and other stakeholders to align procurement decisions with business needs.
• Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process optimization, and performance improvement, including conducting regular supplier reviews and analyzing raw materials scrap levels.

Key Qualifications :

• Experience : 5 years in procurement or supply chain management
• Technical Skills : Familiarity with SAP S4 / HANA , Ariba , or similar procurement and ERP systems.
• Contracting & Negotiation : Strong skills in contract management, negotiation, and supplier performance analysis.
• GMP Environment : Experience in a GMP environment is a plus.
• Independence & Leadership : Ability to work independently, manage stakeholders effectively, and drive procurement strategies.
