Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant to oversee our QuickBooks and work directly with the owners of Grove Homes on office operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QuickBooks, AP, AR, Invoicing, and general ledger reconciliation. A modest understanding of spreadsheet software is also required. As the Administrative Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our office while managing essential office tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform accounts receivable and accounts payable tasks, including invoicing.
- Recieve bills from Subcontracotrs and enter them into QuickBooks upon reciept.
- Conduct general ledger reconciliation in QB regularly to maintain accurate financial records.
- Updated spreadsheets containing financial information, vendor logs, and budgets.
- Recieve payments from customers and enter them into QB.
- Support governmental accounting processes and compliance requirements.
- Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents and records.
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Manage daily office operations, including clerical duties and administrative support.
- Collaborate with team members to insure time cards and QB transactions are up to date.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an bookkeeping environment.
- Proficiency in accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation, and payroll processing.
- Strong typing and 10-key skills for efficient data entry.
- Knowledge of journal entries, tax regulations, and governmental accounting practices is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Google Sheets.
