RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understand company Mission, Vision, and Values and be an ambassador of MVV.
- Responsible for the development, prototyping, production, and maintenance of electro-mechanical products within the organization.
- This role focuses on designing components such as sheet metal, die-castings, and injection molded parts for new and sustaining gaming products, ensuring they meet functional, cost, serviceability, and manufacturability requirements.
- Support and collaborate with sourcing team and external vendors, especially from New Value Spaces, to ensure the design/concept is reliable, manufacturable, certifiable, serviceable and complies with global regulatory compliance and safety standards.
- Create prototypes of concepts and products for demonstration, evaluation, presentation, and focus group studies (as needed).
- Collaborate, oversee, and manage the 3rd party and outside design partners to make sure the products are designed and developed to meet our requirements and specifications.
- Create mechanical drawings, bill of materials, assembly procedures, and other documentations for product release as required.
- Apply creativity, foresight, and mature engineering judgment in problem-solving and project organization.
- Ideal candidate will have at least B.S. degree in mechanical engineering (or equivalent) with 5 years of prior work experience, preferably in gaming, and keen sense for broader market application of those technologies.
- Proven experience and expertise with rapid prototypes, sheet metal, injection molding, casting, etc. is required.
- Proven experience using SolidWorks and/or other 3D MCAD required.
- Strong DFMEA, PFMEA, FEA, DFx, processing experience is highly desirable.
- Experience with thermal analysis and associated tools is desired.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, oral communication skills with proficiency in MS Office tools.
- Exceptionally self-motivated, directs and manages priorities judiciously with keen attention to details.
- Prior experience in a highly regulated environment designing products to comply with global regulatory compliance and safety standards is preferred.
- Maybe required to bend, reach, and lift to 25lbs.
- Some travel may be required.
