Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Executive Director to lead our economic and community development initiatives. This leadership role involves strategic planning, stakeholder collaboration, and executing programs that enhance our local economy and community well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
· Develop and implement the organization's strategic vision for economic growth and community development.
· Serve as the primary spokesperson and advocate for Grow Ellsworth County.
· Build strong partnerships with local businesses, government entities, and community leaders.
Economic Development & Business Support
· Attract new businesses and support existing ones.
· Develop programs to enhance local entrepreneurship and workforce solutions.
· Lead initiatives for business attraction, retention, and expansion.
Community Development & Tourism
· Collaborate with local attractions and events to boost tourism.
· Organize community events to foster civic pride and engagement.
· Promote Ellsworth County as a destination for visitors and residents alike.
Organizational Leadership
· Engage and support members through networking, advocacy, and growth resources.
· Enhance member value and participation in organizational activities.
Operational Management & Financial Stewardship
· Oversee the organization's budget, policies, and resources.
· Ensure fiscal responsibility and alignment with strategic goals.
· Supervise staff and volunteers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, economic development, public administration, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, economic development, and community engagement.
- Strong financial management and organizational leadership skills.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, project management tools, Canva, and email marketing software.
- Experience in website management, social media best practices, and AI applications.
- Professional certifications or relevant affiliations are a plus.
