What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Grow Pediatrics?
Grow Pediatrics is an established, family-owned clinic which provides exceptional pediatric primary care. Our team consists of pediatric providers, RNs, medical assistants, and administrative staff. We are looking for a medical assistant to join our staff at our Richfield location.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide direct patient care support and assist providers as instructed
- Room patients and take vitals and brief medical histories
- Perform hearing & vision screenings and other tasks related to yearly checkups and annual/sports physicals
- Perform on-site lab procedures (strep & flu tests, wbc, urinalysis, etc.)
- Triage patients over the phone
- Assist providers in performing procedures
- Maintain patient clinical records
- Schedule and check patients in
- Perform related work as required
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current Medical Assistant certification preferred
- Previous clinic setting experience required
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and work with a fluctuation in workload
- Proficient at using computer programs
- Demonstrated focus on customer service/patient service with every interaction
- Excellent public relations and communication skills
- Ability to work as an effective team member to provide exceptional care
- Ability to embrace change
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate critical thinking skills and engage in ongoing process improvement

Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
