The Opportunity
The Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, supporting, and maintaining technology solutions and hardware that support the cultivation and retail operations. You will work with the IT Manager to ensure smooth operation of all venues to deliver an excellent experience for the internal team and our guests.
What You Get to Do
- Install and maintain PC-based hardware within retail operations and support cloud-based applications, network equipment, and other hardware as needed.
- Deploy and support technology solutions, including point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory management software, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Performs responsibilities effectively to provide a superior level of user service and satisfaction throughout the facility and retail operations, limiting downtime and enhancing guest experience.
- Demonstrate knowledge of IT applications, operations, workflows, and standards
- Regularly maintain systems to ensure optimal performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Assists in the maintenance and troubleshooting of hardware that supports cloud-based applications and retail operations.
- Install, connect, disconnect, repair, update, and move computer equipment throughout the properties.
- Adhere to standards of security, system integrity, and confidentiality within the department.
- Routinely inspect all supported equipment on the property, identifying potential problems and performing necessary repairs; perform regular preventative maintenance on all supported equipment.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to ensure a clean, neat, and dust-free environment in any work area.
- Stay abreast of trends and changing technologies related to Information Technology.
- Adheres to standards of security, system integrity, and confidentiality within the department.
- Assists in the writing of technical procedures for the Information Technology Department.
- Work closely with other IT team members, and external vendors to ensure the successful implementation and operation of company systems.
- Maintains an attitude and philosophy consistent with the company mission, vision, and values.
- Displays a high level of maturity, discretion, tact, judgment, and the ability to deal with confidential matters.
- Respond to support calls on a 24/7 basis as required on an emergency basis.

Objectives of this role
- Drive awareness of requirements across business units and identify substandard systems processes through evaluation of real-time data.
- Serve as thought leader for technical business processes, developing systems prototypes that promote increased efficiency and productivity on multiple levels.
- Create and implement precise management plans for every project, with attention to transparent communication at all levels.
- Perform, evaluate, and communicate thorough quality assurance at every stage of systems development.
- Determine and develop user requirements for systems in production, to ensure maximum usability.
What Qualifies You (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:)
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school in Information Technology or (4) years combined relevant education and experience in an Information Technology environment.
- 2 years additional Information Technology experience
- Experience with Microsoft 365 preferred
- Must be able to secure license from Regulatory Agency
- Responsible for following all relevant Cannabis Regulations.
- Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.
- CERTIFICATIONS:
- Certified in at least one (1) industry recognized certification or two (2) years of experience supporting users and applications.
