Overview
Internova Travel Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Systems Engineer with a focus on project work, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing various IT projects that contribute to the enhancement, stability, and scalability of our physical and virtual infrastructure. Your expertise will play a critical role in driving innovation, efficiency, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
The ideal Systems Engineer candidate will join our highly skilled team of IT professionals, who are committed to delivering exceptional IT services and support to our clients. This role requires expertise in managing a diverse range of IT infrastructure and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windows Server, Virtualization, Datacenter Hardware, and Cloud technologies. The individual must be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Manage physical and virtual server infrastructure including VMWare and HPE hardware (Nimble, Simplicity, StoreOnce).
- Manage Veeam for scaled-out repository and capacity tier data management.
- Manage load balancing technology (Kemp).
- Manage disaster recovery technology (Zerto).
- Strong experience with cloud platforms and technologies, Azure preferred.
- Experience with PowerShell, PowerShell Workflow and PowerShell ISE.
- Research, recommend and implement new safeguards to ensure the highest level of security possible.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or minimum 5 years working in a business environment supporting physical and virtual server infrastructure.
- Proven experience with Windows Server Stack, Datacenter Hardware, Veeam, Zerto, VMWare and Cloud platforms such as Azure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Proficient in creating systems documentation such as Visio and workflow diagrams.
- Ability to effectively communicate with IT and non-IT personnel.
- Ability to work varying hours, such as early mornings, evenings, weekends, and possibly holidays to complete project work as well as provide emergency support.
- Ability to travel to various domestic and international locations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with O365 and messaging systems is a plus.
- Experience with Linux general administration is a plus.
- Proficiency in Powershell scripting is a plus.
