Position Summary
The Purchasing / Logistics Clerk provides administrative and specialized support to Receiving, Purchasing, Production and Accounting. This includes, but is not limited to, creating and processing purchase orders, invoices, and requisitions, receiving supplies and distributing to the required department / location. Assisting with inventory discrepancies, and ensuring all locations have adequate inventories of supplies to support Operations. The Purchasing / Logistics Clerk is responsible for ensuring the receipt of delivery tickets and invoices and forwarding to Accounts Payable in a timely manner.
Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)
- Create, transmit, review, and prioritize approved purchase orders and supporting documents to vendors and Accounting.
- Submits invoices, delivery tickets and purchase orders to Accounts Payable for 3-way match and subsequent payment to vendors in a timely manner.
- Interfaces with Accounting to resolve invoicing discrepancies.
- Run Open Order report for month end closing.
- Communicate with Growers, Supervisors and GIS team to ensure supplies requested are received and receipts are sent in a timely manner.
- Receive, ship, and distribute supplies to appropriate departments / locations.
- Assists Operations Manager with freight data entry.
- Reconciliation of freight invoices through freight log and purchase orders.
Requirements :
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Experience)
High School Diploma required.
2 to 3 years relevant procurement experience.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and be self-directed.
Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and multiple tasks in a deadline-oriented environment.
Computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
Bilingual preferred
