Description : Position Summary
The Sales Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately inputting, updating, and managing sales data into the company’s NAV system or database. This role ensures that all sales information is organized, accurate, and up to date, assisting the sales and management teams in tracking performance and making informed decisions.
Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)
- Enter sales data from various sources (e.g., sales forms, email communications, spreadsheets) into the company’s database system.
- Verify the accuracy of sales orders, customer details, and pricing information.
- Maintain and update sales records and customer databases regularly.
- Coordinate with the sales team to ensure all relevant sales information is accurately recorded.
- Generate and maintain reports based on sales data, such as daily, weekly, and monthly sales summaries.
- Assist in tracking and reconciling discrepancies in sales data.
- Communicate with team members to resolve issues related to missing or incorrect sales data.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and data confidentiality standards.
- Provide administrative support to the sales department as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Range $18-$20 per hour
The compensation range for this role is determined by factors such as location and required skills. The salary range provided reflects the lowest to highest amount we reasonably anticipate paying for this position at the time of posting. Compensation is influenced by labor market conditions and various factors, including but not limited to : the prevailing minimum wage in the area, relevant education, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, sales or revenue targets, and business needs. It is not typical for a new hire to be offered the highest end of the salary range. Pay decisions are made based on the unique circumstances of each candidate and position. Requirements :
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Experience)
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience in data entry or sales support roles.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Basic understanding of sales processes and terminology.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Good communication skills.
Physical Requirements
While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; frequently required to talk or hear; and occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities by this job include close distance and color vision.
