Staff SOX Analyst

Position Reports To: Sr SOX Manager
Salary Range: $75K - $95K Annually / DOQ
Purpose of Position: Responsible for monitoring, and testing control activities for SOX Compliance with a focus on continuous improvement related to the tools, processes, and procedures in the SOX area.
**Role to remain posted until at least February 14, 2025
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the planning, execution, and documentation of SOX testing for key controls across the organization’s financial reporting process.
- Ensure effectiveness of business process controls, while assisting with ITGCs.
- Assist in the preparation of SOX 404 documentation, including control narratives, risk assessments, and test plans.
- Work closely with our external auditors to support their SOX testing process, provide requested documentation, and detailed reviews.
- Assist with control assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR).
- Help manage audit readiness and evidence administration for PCI, SOX and other frameworks as required.
- Train functional and business owners, approvers, and mitigation reviewers on their key responsibilities.
- Perform policy and procedure administration responsibilities ensuring proper change management protocols and approvals.
- Monitor the control environment and ensure that controls are operational and in-line with established expectations, policies, procedures, and control methodology.
- Collaborate with business units to ensure timely completion of testing and facilitation of control deficiency remediation.
- Provide risk metrics to management regarding audit performance and findings.
- Assist control owners with root cause analysis and track risk management action plan progress.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, or other quantitative discipline
- 1 years of audit/assessment experience with SOX, Accounting, or IT Compliance
- Experience with project management practices
- Proficient understanding of business processes / financial controls. Understanding of ITGCs, automated, and application controls a plus
- In-depth knowledge of SOX regulations, COSO Framework, financial reporting processes, and auditing standards
- Work experience must be related to accounting, auditing, or compliance
- Active CPA or CIA certification preferred, but not required
- Experience working with Workiva or similar GRC tools preferred
- Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Advanced Excel skills for use in analysis, reporting, and data management
- Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

Compensation includes a salary commensurate with experience, participation in group insurance plans upon eligibility, paid time off, sick leave, parental leave and more. Benefits may be subject to generally applicable eligibility, waiting period, contribution, and other requirements and conditions.
