Compensation :
55,000 - $70,000 yearly DOE
Responsibilities :
- Coordinate law office activity, including the drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers
- Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits under the guidance of a lawyer
- Conduct interviews with clients to gather information about their legal issues
- Aid lawyers in trial preparation by preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, conducting research on legal articles, and assisting with client meetings and filing motions
- Organize our case filing systems to ensure all documents are properly sorted and easy to locate, and other administrative duties as needed
- Assist with the administration and litigation of probate estates, including drafting and filing of probate pleadings, preparing and filing court forms, and managing the probate process from start to finish
- Assist with guardianship administration and litigation cases
- Work with clients to gather and organize necessary documents and information for probate administration and estate planning
- Prepare estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney
- Prepare legal documents, including correspondence and pleadings
- Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, and other parties involved in probate administration and estate planning matters
- Manage multiple tasks and deadlines, prioritize work assignments, and maintain accurate and complete records
