Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor the safety of children in your care.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development.
- Provide nurturing care, including feeding, diapering, and assisting with personal hygiene.
- Manage children's behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management techniques.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to learning and play.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures when necessary.
- Foster a sense of community by encouraging social interactions among children.
Skills
- Experience in caregiving roles is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles to support age-appropriate learning.
- Proficiency in behavior management techniques to handle various situations effectively.
- Familiarity with DHS rules and regulations is a plus.
- Experience working in classrooms or daycare settings is beneficial.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred but not required at the time of application.
- Strong communication skills to educate children and engage with parents effectively.
