Role Overview:
The Quality Manager is responsible for the oversight and management of all quality functions for the Company. Included in this is the maintenance of all requirements pertaining to the Company’s ISO 9001 certification. This role is involved in the day to day operations of production, and creating documentation related to audit control processes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee Quality program and drive improvements to ensure quality product that meets customer specifications and company requirements.
- Maintain quality program and drive process improvements to ensure quality systems meet customer specifications and company requirements.
- Lead the design and implementation of quality assurance systems and resolve quality problems with manufacturing, vendors and customers.
- Oversee customer improvement opportunities (CIO) system, and drive continuous improvements.
- Investigate root cause and implement corrective actions to customer complaints regarding quality.
- Ensure product safety and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Direct activities to ensure ISO 9001 compliance, including document control, Internal Audits and Management Review.
- Use predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to visually inspect in-process and completed products, subassemblies for structural flaws, internal defects, hardware, dimensions, and welds.
- Use different measuring devices to accept or reject various products.
- Work from blueprints, diagrams, fixtures, customer specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists.

- Manage multiple inspection projects.

Responsible for a variety of activities supporting the Quality Assurance Team:
- Activities range from ISO 9001 compliance, Internal Audit program coordination, development and maintenance of Process Documentation, Data Management and Facilitation of equipment’s calibration.
- Includes auditing process areas of the organization to ensure requirements and specifications are met.
- The individual will mentor process owners to implement processes to support the Quality Management System, ISO 9001:2015 standard.
- Work with Engineering to create Inspection Checklists/Work Order Travelers/Work Instructions
- Be able to adhere to and follow safety guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
- B.A./B.S. in Engineering, Operations or Management preferred, or equivalent experience in manufacturing, project management, quality assurance, or operations management.
- A minimum of 5 years experience implementing and directing quality systems.
- Understanding of quality systems, ISO, BRC, SQF and Continuous Improvement tools/methodologies; Six Sigma, Lean, TPM, FMEA and SPC.
- ISO 9001 Auditor training & certification.
