Acara Solutions is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager for our client, a food manufacturing company located in Buffalo NY!
Qualified candidate must have applicable quality experience in food manufacturing
Salary up to $100k/year
100% onsite
Responsibilities
- Serve as the point of contact for audits and inspections, ensuring timely response to new or changes in regulations on specifications, procedures, quality, and implications.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of food safety measures into daily operations.
- Train and educate employees on food safety protocols and best practices to foster a culture of safety and quality.
- Lead investigations into quality issues across production (allergen risk management, equipment risk management, material or packaging nonconformance).
- Facilitate and/or direct resolution to issues as it relates to food safety and quality.
- Oversee product testing and release process, implement a proactive problem-solving approach to any potential out of spec situations.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Microbiology preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in food safety or quality assurance within a food manufacturing environment.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- People management experience highly preferred
