DC Quality Technician

What is the job about?

As a QSHE Specialist you will Assist Americas Distribution Center team in meeting all Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental objectives. This role will provide active support to the operations team and our customers.

This position reports directly to our Senior Manager Logistics operations America and will operate out of the Allentown, PA facility in a hybrid function.

Your main responsibilities:

• Investigate and support non-conformities and complaints reported by customers. This includes driving preventative actions with all functions involved like packaging, purchasing, R&D. This also includes initiating corrective actions with transportation suppliers or 3PL suppliers.
• Manage our internal Quality Improvement Portal reporting system.
• Conduct necessary inspection of incoming or goods on hand.
• Conduct safety reviews to ensure compliance with governmental and ISO requirements.
• Recommend activities to reduce potential safety or injury risks.
• Conduct trainings for team members relative to Quality, Safety, Health or Environmental topics.
• Conduct environmental reviews for site compliance with governmental and ISO compliance.
• Report data on various Environmental activities.
• Recommend activities to reduce consumption of water, electricity, or natural gas.
• Manage audit process to ensure compliance with governmental and ISO requirements.
• Participate in Distribution Center Management Review.
  
  

We imagine that you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in quality or safety preferred
• Knowledge of Quality and Safety tools
• Certification in any of the following preferred: Certified Safety Professional /Associate Safety Professional / Transitional Safety Practitioner
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team.
• Capacity to share knowledge and teach as needed.
• Problem-solving skills, including the willingness to seek assistance from colleagues outside the Allentown Distribution Center.
• Capability to manage projects and adhere to timelines.
• Flexibility to work additional hours when required.
