We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient handling of packages, ensuring accurate order fulfillment and inventory management. This position requires mechanical knowledge and familiarity with warehouse operations, including the use of equipment such as cherry pickers.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently package and prepare products for shipment, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Operate cherry pickers and other warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
- Assist with inventory control by conducting regular stock checks and maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill orders promptly and accurately.
- Follow OSHA guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Utilize AS400 or similar inventory management systems to track product movement.
- Build pallets and organize products for optimal storage and retrieval.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functionality.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center is preferred.
- Knowledge of inventory control processes and order fulfillment practices.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards is essential.
- Ability to operate a cherry picker safely; certification is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Physical capability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.
