About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Engineer to develop and implement processes and procedures aimed at the highest product quality standards and process consistency throughout the manufacturing cycle. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote continuous improvement, optimize testing procedures and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Using data analysis, statistical methods and quality management tools to improve product quality, reduce waste and ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and the company's quality objectives.
- Lead process improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or others, aiming to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct root cause analyses for quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Oversee the inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products, ensuring compliance with specifications, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
- Plan and execute internal and external audits to verify compliance with QMS standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications, as well as preparing audit reports and following up on corrective actions.
- Conduct supplier audits, monitor their performance, and support improvement initiatives, to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components.
- Analyze production data, track quality metrics, and report on product and process performance, using statistical methods and quality tools (e.g., SPC, MSA).
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including inspection records, test results, and compliance reports, while ensuring traceability of product quality data to meet regulatory and customer requirements.
- Develop and deliver quality training to production staff, suppliers, and other departments, ensuring alignment with quality standards, processes, and best practices.
- Analyze customer feedback, warranty claims, and returns, to identify improvement opportunities, implement and controlling continuous improvement initiatives to increase customer satisfaction and reduce product defects.
